Delores “Dody” Conrad, age 80, of French Lick, Indiana passed away on April 19th, 2018 at Stonecroft Health Campus, Bloomington, Indiana.

She was born in Crawford County, Indiana on October 31st, 1937 Charles E. Ballard and Aileen (Levelle) Ballard.

Dody married Don Conrad on September 15th, 1956 and he preceded her death on December 12th, 2008.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, (1) Daughter – DeAnn Conrad; (1) Sister – Carolyn Roper and Son-In-Law – Milo DeHart.

Dody worked at the French Lick Springs Hotel for many years and retired from the Orange County Highway Department.   She and Don owned and farmed Seven Mile Farm.

She was a member of the Red Hats Society, enjoyed playing Dominos and card games, having morning coffee with friends, and adored her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Dody is survived by:

(1) Daughter Keely DeHart New Albany, Indiana

(1) Brother Larry Ballard (Bridget) Shepherdsville, Kentucky

(3) Grandchildren Adrianna Conard (Clint) Bloomington, Indiana
Connor DeHart French Lick, Indiana
Garrett DeHart French Lick, Indiana
(1) Great-Grandaughter Reagan Conard Bloomington, Indiana

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at the Brosmer-Kemple Chapel, French Lick, Indiana.  Cremation was chosen and a private burial will be at a later date.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dody’s memory to the Orange County Community Foundation for the Don and Dody Conrad Agricultural Scholarship Endowment Fund, 1075 N. Sandy Hook Rd, Suite 2, Paoli, IN 47454

I am so sorry for your loss. Dody was a warm, funny, and loving woman. Her laugh was infectious. May God embrace and comfort you during this time. I am sorry I am unable to attend and give my condolences in person.
