Brenda Jean Necaise Curtis, 71, of French Lick Indiana, entered into eternal rest on April 22nd, 2018 at McCormick’s Creek Rehab and Skilled Nursing in Spencer, Indiana.

She was born on November 18th, 1946 in French Lick, Indiana to Robert and Olive (Brewer) Hatfield.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, (1) Brother – Ben Hatfield, (3) Sisters – Bobbie Hatfield, Patsy Hatfield and Carol Emmons and (1) Son – Phillip Necaise.

She was a member of the French Lick American Legion Post 76 Women’s Auxiliary, the former Paoli Moose Lodge and the Cane Creek Christian Church. She enjoyed animals especially her cats. Brenda gladly accepted the responsibility of taking care of the neighborhood cats.

Brenda is survived by:

(7) Great-Grandchildren Ashley Everroad, Lela Everroad, CJ Webb, Raylan Fancher, Evelyn Carnes, Jameson Carnes and Philip Carnes

Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date with burial to follow in the Cane Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Orange County Humane Society, 856 N. Greenbriar Drive, Paoli, Indiana 47454.

Going to miss her "Hi Wilky!" whenever I visited the Legion. A good friend for more than 45 years. Goodbye Brenda. I hope you found some peace. You certainly deserve it. All of the crew will miss you.
