Atelene Grigsby

Atelene Grigsby, age 89, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on December 5th, 2016 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana.

She was born in Orange County, Indiana on February 25th, 1927 to Oscar and Grace (Scott) Wilson.

Atelene married Herman Grigsby on June 26th, 1946 and he preceded her in death on August 31st, 2002.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, (1) Daughter – Brenda Bayer, (1) Son-in-law – Chester Bayer, (1) Grandson – Jonathan Bayer, (1) Grandson-in-law – Jeff Faulk and (1) Step-Great-Granddaughter – Kirstin Bayer.

Atelene was a member of the Crystal Community Church and the Red Hats Society. She graduated from West Baden Springs High School with the Class of 1945.

Atelene loved to crochet and complete crossword puzzles. She retired from the French Lick Five and Dime where she worked in the Fabric and Sewing Department.

She is survived by:

(3) Great-Great-Grandchildren Ava, Alexis and Jase Watson Dubois, Indiana

(1) Step Grandson Chester Bayer Jr.(Vonda) Birdseye, Indiana

(3) Step Great-Grandchildren Emily, Madison and Cade Bayer Birdseye, Indiana


FUNERAL CEREMONY
The Funeral Ceremony will be conducted on Friday, December 9th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the T.L. Pinnick Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ames Chapel Cemetery in Paoli, Indiana.

VISITATION
Friends may call on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the T.L. Pinnick Chapel and then again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
