Barbara E Shipman

Barbara E. “Dotson” Shipman, age 78, of French Lick, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, August 20th, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on September 26, 1934 in Orange County, Indiana to Earnie and Clarice “Milburn” Dotson.

She married William E. Shipman on May 13th, 1955 and he preceded her in death on May 4th, 1989.

Barbara is also preceded in death by her parents and (1) Brother – Earnie Howard Dotson.

She was a graduate of the French Lick High School and attended the Crystal Community Church.

She is survived by:

Joseph Shipman (Susan) French Lick, Indiana

(3) Brothers Lloyd Dotson (Jackie) Paoli, Indiana
Paul Dotson St. Charles, Missouri
Edward Dotson (Peggy) Columbus, Ohio

(2) Sisters Frances Irene Nolan (Thomas Eugene) Thebes, Illinois
Mary Dotson French Lick, Indiana

(4) Grandchildren Angela Owens, Craig Shipman, Katie Hammond, Laurie Shipman

(6) Great-Grandchildren Travis Owens, Lucas Owens, Noah Owens, Emily Hammond, Levi Shipman

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home in French Lick, Indiana. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Officiating is Mike Stout.

Burial will follow in the Cane Creek Cemetery in French Lick, Indiana

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Cane Creek Cemetery Fund, c/o Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, 9640 W. State Rd 56, French Lick, IN 47432.
