Bill Alvin Rominger, 76, of West Baden Springs, Indiana departed this life on December 10th, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born on November 12th, 1948 to George and Betty (Carnes) Rominger in Huntingburg, Indiana.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one sister – Brenda Aust (Allen).
He graduated from Springs Valley High School in 1966 and married Brenda K. Hall on October 26th, 1968. Bill attended the Springs Valley Wesleyan Church, was a member of American Legion Post 69 and the Operator’s Union. He served in the United States Army from 1967-1973 and was stationed in Alabama.
Bill owned Rominger Farms and farmed his entire life. He also worked construction as a heavy equipment operator and ran a bulldozer on the cross-country pipelines where he made many lifelong friends.
He truly loved working side-by-side with his family on his farm where he taught them to love the land and work hard. When he wasn’t tending his crops or his cows, Bill was building ponds, shooting off fireworks, cheering for his grandchildren, restoring old trucks and tractors, riding his Harley Davidson, singing old country and gospel songs, playing his guitar, hunting, fishing or gardening and growing his famous sweet corn that he shared with friends and family.
