Bonnie J Lindsey

Bonnie Lindsey, age 73, of French Lick, passed away on Thursday, November 7th, 2013 at Medco Health and Rehabilitation in French Lick, Indiana.  

Bonnie was born on February 18th, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky to Frank A. Stitch and Rachel “Woodson” Stitch.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Bonnie married Hilbert “Hib” Lindsey on March 17th, 1956 and he survives.

Bonnie graduated from Springs Valley High School with the Class of 1965, raised her two children and later graduated from Oakland City College. She taught 1st Grade at Springs Valley Elementary School for several years and was known by her students as “Miss Bonnie”. Over her life she was a member of Tri-Kappa, PEO, the founder of a local ladies book club, member of Jasper Bridge Club and a local Euchre Club.

After her retirement, she and Hib went to Florida every winter to enjoy the sun, beach and in the evening they celebrated the setting of the sun. She had a lifelong interest in improving opportunities of the local youth through education.

Paul Stitch Baton Rouge, Louisiana

(5)  Grandchildren Adam Lindsey, Cory Lindsey, Kara Lindsey, Allison Perzinski and Sophia Walter

(5) Great-Grandchildren Gabriel Lindsey, Gracye Judy, Zachary Lindsey, Lyla Lindsey and Henry Aloysues Perzinski

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 17th, 2013 at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home on Saturday, November 16th, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and on Sunday, November 17th, 2013 from 12:00 (noon) until the time of service.
Doug Finney will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Springs Valley Education Fund in memory of Bonnie. Memorial contributions are C/O, Orange County Community Foundation, 112 West Water Street, Paoli, Indiana 47454.

my grandma bonnie Lindsey is always a classy lady. every time I see her at she looks like a million bucks. I wish I could be like her but she is a one of a kind person. she is like a super hero she got married when she was 20 something and she raised 2 kids. they both are amazing and very kind. her son mark Lindsey has 3 kids and his wife is hope " lindley " Lindsey. she is very kind. her daughter is Susie " Lindsey " walter. she has 2 kids and is very kind too. her grand son adam Lindsey has 4 kids and his wife is shalyn "peters" Lindsey. she is very kind.

As her great grandchild I miss her very much. I wish to think all the people who sent flowers and who were so nice to her. I wish she could see lyla and gabe and Zach and me grow up. Everyone will miss her so much I wish she was still here. she loved watching sunset and riding on the boat. she loved all her family and friends equally and loved hanging out with her family and friends

Hi my name is Gracye Judy and I am Bonnie's great granddaughter and I am thankful for all the flowers and notes from all the people. We got some from Medco Health and Rehab. They have been really supportive to us sense my great grandma has died and I want to say if you have a loved one and is ill and in need of help I would take them to Medco health and Rehab. I think she will be so proud of her grand kids and great grand kids. I wish she and papaw could see lyla grow up and get her drivers licens and see her say her first sentence. she has gone to a better place and is with her mom and dad.

Bonnie was a great lady> I wanted to thank her for always being so nice to me When I was a kid & when i got older. When her and Hib would  walk into the Paoli Country Club for Saturday night dinner. She would always look like a million bucks . Great Lady You Will be Missed .
