Carolyn "Jo" Campbell

Carolyn “Jo” Campbell, 80, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on February 6th, 2024 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana.

She was born in French Lick, Indiana on December 25th, 1943 to John D. and Mary Alice (Moore) Nelson.

Jo married Willard Campbell on December 30th, 1959 and he preceded her in death on October 22nd, 2005. 

She was also preceded in death by her Parents, Daughters – Karen Jo Campbell and Connie Lynn Toliver, Brothers – Don and Kenny Pinnick and several close nieces and nephews.

Jo was employed by Springs Valley High School for more than 15 years. She considered all the kids who came through her lunch line to be “her kids”. 

She enjoyed quilting, woodworking, crafting, bird watching and hosting family events in her home.  She especially loved her fur babies.        

Jo, along with her husband Willard, created a legacy of warmth and hospitality that will live on in all who loved her. They opened their home to many over the years, including nephews Amos and Scott Mincey and niece Teena Campbell Fettig. They had an extra bed and room at their table at all times.

She was a loving, caring and hospitable lady and was loved by so many; a special lady and will be sorely missed.

Daughter – Melissa Kellams (Kelly) of French Lick, Indiana

Sister – Marilyn Stout of French Lick, Indiana

Sister-in law and Best Friend of 72 years – Sandra Mincey

Grandchildren – Heather Sexton (Nathan) of Rineyville, Kentucky

                          Nathan Kellams (Cassandra) of West Baden Springs, Indiana

                          Lucas Kellams (Nicole) of French Lick, Indiana

                          Tyler Simmons 

Great-Grandchildren – Alaina and Jonathan Sexton and Jessa, Carter, Emmett and Nelson Kellams.

FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Travis Duncan, Mike Stout and Mike Gors on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.  

VISITATION

Visitation will be on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local Humane Society or Springs Valley Pet Services.
