Carroll Arthur Land

Carroll Arthur Land “Slick” “Jenco Man”, age 77, of French Lick, Indiana found his way home on October 8, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on Red Quarry hill not far from his earthly home on March 13, 1944 to Roy and Mae (Howard) Land.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, (1) Son - Jeffrey Land; (3) Grandchildren - Katlyn Land, Aaron S. Land II, and Kiersten Marie Land; (1) Brother – Donald Land and (7) Sisters - Francis Land, Rosemary Powell, Betty Watts, Norma Quinn, Vera Crowder, Shirley Jones, and Wanda Elkins.

He was married to Judith R. Angerer on December 21, 1963 and she survives.

He was a 1962 graduate of Springs Valley High School and retired from Texas Eastern. He could always be counted on to fix whatever needed it and to build things. His kids and grandkids have great memories of learning to work with him. He was a storyteller and loved to entertain people. He and his wife were forwarding agents for Leon Dorleans Mission in Haiti and he had traveled to Haiti for 3 mission trips. He had a heart for pastors and missionaries. He was a longtime deacon and elder of the Red Quarry Christian Church. He was great source of strength and comfort for his family and church. He was a family man and loved bouncing babies on his lap. He was a great prayer warrior and loved the Lord.

Danny Land (Marcia) of French Lick, Indiana

(4) Sisters - Joan Jones of Castleton, Indiana
Kay Land of French Lick, Indiana
Geri Garrison of French Lick, Indiana
Linda Beyers of French Lick, Indiana

(9) Grandchildren - Dustin Land (Sarah), Trung Jack Le (Na), Tyler Lashbrook, Landon Price, Sean Land, Curtis Crow (Miranda), Livia Land, Jace Land and Ethen Land

(5) Great-Grandchildren - Elijah Land, Kylee Land, Jenson Crow, Jacob Land, Maia Le, and one on the way – Remi.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Bro. Darrel Land, Bro. Joe Crow and Bro. Leon Dorleans at 11:00 a.m. on October 13th, 2021 at the Red Quarry Christian Church with burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.

VISITATION
Visitation for friends will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 at the Red Quarry Christian Church and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
