Charles "Ron" Ronald Clark

Charles “Ron” Ronald Clark, age 70, of West Baden Springs, Indiana passed away on December 28th, 2016 at his residence in West Baden Springs, Indiana.

Ron was born on February 16th, 1946 in Dubois County, Indiana to Joseph and Mildred (Honeycutt) Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He married Margie Gilliatte on June 7th, 1964 and she survives.

Ron graduated from Springs Valley High School Class of 1964 and loved to fish. He attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where he graduated in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in English and a minor in Business.

He began his banking career from 1970 to 1976 with the Springs Valley Bank and Trust. He started as an Assistant Cashier, then went on to service on Federally Insured Student Loans, a Security Officer, a Loan Officer and advertising. Ron was a part of the team that chartered the new First National Bank in Paoli in 1976 where he rose to the office of Vice President. He continued to work there until 1980 when he moved on to the Wabash Valley Bank in Vincennes, Indiana. He was the President of the bank and also managed the construction of the new building and maintenance of the building and grounds, among many other compacities during his tenure until 1984. In 1984, Ron moved to Memering Buick Inc. in Vincennes, Indiana where he worked until 1985.

Ron returned to the First National Bank of Paoli in 1985 where he assumed the position of Chairman and President/CEO where he remained until 1995. In 1995, Ron became the Chairman/CEO of Hometown National Bank in New Albany until it was sold in 2002.

He is survived by:

Brenda Campbell St. Petersburg, Florida

(7) Grandchildren Whitney Hobbs, Drew Kellams, Hunter Clark, Samuel Clark, Avery Green, Sawyer Green and Alfred Starnes

(1) Great-Great-Granddaughter Arielle Flores

There will be a private service held at a later date.

Burial will be at the Ames Chapel Cemetery in Paoli, Indiana.
