Chris Edward Hobby

Chris Edward Hobby, 64 of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on June 3rd, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in Paoli, Indiana on December 27th, 1960 to Jimmy and Rosalie (Rominger) Hobby.

Chris was preceded in death by his Father and Sister – Lana Purlee.

He was a 1978 graduate of Southview High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina and 1984 graduate of Rets Electronic Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. Chris worked for Telex, Northrup Grumman and Vectron Electric Companies, worked on computers and worked construction.

Chris gave his life to Jesus and was very dedicated in his walk with Christ. He was a member of The Church at Powell Valley where he was a worship leader.

He enjoyed fishing, music, boating, camping, and spending time with his son and grandchildren.

Mother – Rosalie Hobby of West Baden Springs, Indiana

Son – Ryan Hobby of French Lick, Indiana

Brother – Daniel J. Hobby (Nikki) of Bloomington, Indiana

Sisters – Leah Ann Bradford (Larry) of Fort Worth, Texas

Lori Dawn Gogel (Dan) of Mariah Hill, Indiana

Grandchildren – Emberlynn, Christian and Mia

FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Randy Stevens on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church at Powell Valley with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery.

VISITATION

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rise Academy, Orange County, c/o Amy Orr 1950 N. County Road 590 W., West Baden Springs, Indiana.
