Cynda Potts, 67, of Paoli, Indiana entered into eternal rest on September 22nd, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born in Salem, Indiana on March 22nd, 1957 to Russell “Tom” Farris, Sr. and Betty Jane (Flick) Farris.
Cynda married Vaughn Alan “Pottsy” Potts and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her Parents; Brothers – David Lee Farris, Russell “Butch” Farris, Jr. and Roy Dale Farris; and grandchildren – Josie Edwards and Jorey Riddle.
Cynda was a 1975 graduate of Springs Valley High School and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
She retired from Springs Valley Regional Water Company in 2022.
During mom’s time on earth, she enjoyed many things – shopping with her best friend Janet and loved playing Blazing 7’s at the casino. She enjoyed watching Jaxon and Jerzie at gymnastics and traveled to many ballgames to watch Jayden, Jaxon, Callan and Macoy. Cynda herself played softball in school and then coached Jessica. She continued and enjoyed co-ed softball and volleyball.
Mom was a strong, courageous and fiery tiny lady who spoke her mind and didn’t care who liked it. For many years it was the three of us against the world. She worked endlessly to provide for her two young children and raise on her own. She was a fighter, winner, and a brave woman that was a lifeguard and a mother that had to also be a father. Her family was everything to her and she loved spending time with them.
Cynda is survived by:
Children – Jessica (Justin) Riddle and Zach (Vanessa) Masden
Siblings – Mick (Sue) Farris, Janie (Andy) Merkel, Gary (Justine) Farris and Monty Farris
Grandchildren – Jonathan Edwards, Jayden Edwards, Jaxon Riddle, Jerzie Riddle, Callan Masden, Macoy Masden, Amelia Masden, and Elizabeth Riddle
Great-Grandson – Kane Edwards
Step-Children – Heather (Colin) Truelove, Julie Potts and Skyler Potts
