Darlene Allstott

Darlene Allstott, 76 of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on June 30th, 2026 at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper, Indiana.

She was born in New Albany, Indiana on March 4th, 1950 to Arthur James and Golda Alice (Belcher) Tabor.

Darlene married Doug R. Allstott on April 22nd, 1989 and he preceded her in death on November 6th, 2012.

She was also preceded in death by her Parents; Son – Jay Zehr and Daughter Christina Zehr.

Darlene was a 1969 graduate of Springs Valley High School, had owned the Hoosier and Turf Bars, and Valley Shoe Store. She was the first female Orange County Deputy Sheriff, then was the jail matron and retired from the Indiana State Highway Department.

She enjoyed cooking, reading, playing cards, being on Facebook and spending time with grandkids and family.

Son – Barry Zehr

Brothers – Avon Tabor and Mike Tabor

Sister – Dora Hopper

Grandchildren – Sydney Collins and Ella Temple

Cremation was chosen.
