Deanna Pendley was born in French Lick, Indiana on November 26th, 1942 to Acie Ellis and Beulah (Weeks) Qualkenbush.
She was one of four siblings, two of who greeted her in heaven, Rosemary (Qualkenbush) Bennett and husband Charles, as well as Arnold Qualkenbush and wife Marilyn.
Deanna is survived by two siblings, D.E. Qualkenbush and wife Ginger of West Baden Springs, and Phyllis Scott of Paoli.
Deanna graduated from Springs Valley High School in the class of 1960. She married George Thomas Pendley on December 23rd, 1960 and they enjoyed nearly 66 years of marriage.
Together they raised three children – Bryan Pendley and wife Mindy of French Lick, Monica (Pendley) Morin and husband Mark of French Lick, and Trent Pendley and wife Kim of French Lick.
Deanna worked as a writer for the Springs Valley Herald and co-owned a number of businesses including Pendley Homes and 56 Autoland.
Her true calling was being a mother and mamaw to her children, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was a master homemaker and put her heart into creating a loving home for her family and friends.
Deanna was strong in her faith and knew Jesus was her Lord and Savior. She entered into eternal rest in his loving arms July 16th, 2026 at her residence surrounded by loved ones.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Kevin Quinn and Josh Jones on Monday, July 20th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
VISITATION
Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 20th, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mount Lebanon Cemetery, c/o Shane Buffington, 7735 Woodland Pike, West Baden Springs, IN 47469.
