Donald Joe Bledsoe
Donald Joe Bledsoe, 86, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 24th, 2020 at his residence.
He was born in French Lick, Indiana on July 26th, 1934 to Otto Bledsoe and Alma (Quinn) Bledsoe.
Joe married Ina Jean Elrod on September 24th, 1955 and she preceded him in death on July 29th, 2019.
He was also preceded in death by his Parents; (2) Sons – Dickie and Doug Bledsoe; (4) Brothers – Sandford, Garrett, Ernest and Dean Bledsoe; and (1) Sister – Charlene Wininger.
Joe was a 1953 graduate of West Baden Springs High School and a member of Sulphur Creek Church.
He retired from Kimball Piano after working for 25 years where he made piano hammers. He also farmed and raised hogs and cattle.
Joe enjoyed pitching horseshoes and was State Horseshoe Champion Division II.
He is survived by:
(1) Son David J. Bledsoe (Leah) French Lick, Indiana
(3) Daughters Debra J. Gerkin (Kevin) Dorr, Michigan
Diana J. Dillard Paoli, Indiana
Donna J. Bledsoe West Baden Springs, Indiana
(9) Grandchildren (10) Great-Grandchildren and one on the way
A Graveside Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt on Tuesday, September 29th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sulphur Creek Cemetery, French Lick, Indiana.
Friends may call on Monday, September 28th, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, French Lick, Indiana.
We ask that all who attend please comply to social distancing guidelines and wear a face covering while paying your respects to the family.

I am sorry that I did not make it to the service. Joe was a special friend and seemed like family to me. I will certainly miss him.
