Elizabeth A. “Libby” Perkins, 85, of West Baden Springs, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on June 28th, 2026 at her residence.
She was born at home in Orangeville, Indiana on February 2nd, 1941 to Theodore and Geneva (Hicks) Qualkinbush.
Libby married William “Perk” Perkins on December 30th, 1960 and he preceded her in death September 8th, 2019.
Libby was a 1960 graduate of Springs Valley High School and a faithful member of the Springs Valley Church of the Nazarene. She considered them as her extended family and they loved and took care of her as a family member.
After graduation Libby opened her own restaurant in Paoli (Libby’s) where she met her husband.
She then was a stay-at-home mom raising her children on Charles Street.
After her children were grown, she worked at G&E’s Restaurant as a cook until 1986 when she began to take care of her parents.
After the passing of her parents, she started work for Older Americans as a home health care worker. During that time, she cared for over 70 patients.
When she retired, she spent time with grandchildren and great-grands, sitting on her porch visiting, watching birds, working in her yard, and caring for her flowers. Libby enjoyed daily calls from her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Parents; Step-Dad – William “Charlie” Quakenbush; Brothers – George Qualkinbush, Raymond Qualkinbush, Robert “Gene” Chriswell, and an infant brother at birth; Son – William “Chip” Perkins; Grandson – Spencer Hoffman; and Daughter-in-Law – Kerri Perkins.
Libby is survived by:
Son – Troy Perkins (Van)
Daughter – Jane Hoffman (Brook)
Daughter-in-Law – Tammy Perkins
Grandchildren – Charlotte McCalip (Brian), Randy Perkins (Niki), Nathan Perkins (Brooke), Jeremiah Perkins (Tanessa), Kayla Hopf (Brandon) and Samuel Perkins (Taylor).

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Barry Groh at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
VISITATION
Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, July 2nd, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Springs Valley Church of the Nazarene, 763 S. Bears Bend Road, French Lick, IN 47432.
