Elsbeth Betty Norton

Elsbeth “Betty†Norton, 87 years young, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on April 7th, 2016 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana.
She was born on November 11th, 1928 in Mosbach, Germany to Heinrich and Fredrieche (Holzbaur) Breunig.
Betty loved to tell the story of how she met a young American soldier in Heidelberg, Germany and how she later married Thomas Nelson Norton on January 26th, 1950. He preceded her in death in September of 1991.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Betty was a homemaker and eventually went to work as a switchboard operator for the French Lick Sheraton Hotel and remained there almost 30 years.
She is survived by:
(1) Daughter Mary Ann Cody (Rick) Viera, Florida
(2) Sons Robert Nelson Norton French Lick, Indiana
Jack Nelson Norton (Barb) Oaklandon, Indiana
(3) Grandchildren (3) Great-Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews
Cremation was chosen and a private service will be held at a later date.
