Our father was a devoted Catholic and a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, served on the Parish Council, and volunteered for the many fish fries, chili suppers, and Lenten breakfasts.

He was very active throughout his life, with a heavy focus on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which were his greatest joy.

His life long hobbies were anything to do with boating, fishing, camping, and the outdoors.  He also loved to travel and any adventure by air or car, he was all about it.

Erv was a great mentor to his children and so many throughout his life, sharing his knowledge of craftsmanship and life in general.  His presence will be truly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father Randy Summers on Saturday, November 21st, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church.

Cremation was chosen and burial will be at a later date at Patoka Memorial Cemetery.
