Eugene Nelson

Eugene Nelson, 87 years young, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on April 14th, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana.

He was born on February 23rd, 1929 at home in West Baden Springs, Indiana to Albert and Virginia M. (Purkhiser) Nelson.

He married Juanita Jones on January 3rd, 1947 and she survives.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, (1) Brother – Murl Nelson, (2) Sisters – Geneva Nelson Roach and Juanita Neslon Pendley and (1) Grandson – Brandon Albright.

He was a member of the Highland Chapel Church in West Baden Springs, Indiana. Eugene had served as a Sunday School Superintendent and an Adult Sunday School teacher.

Eugene was a brick mason by trade and also a farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Rev. George Charles at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17th, 2016 at the Highland Chapel Church in West Baden Springs, Indiana. Burial will follow in the Highland Chapel Cemetery.

VISITATION
Friends may call Saturday, April 16th, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Brosmer-Kemple Chapel and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the Highland Chapel Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Highland Chapel Cemetery Fund.
