Evonda Joy Moore

Evonda Joy Moore, 82, of Dubois, Indiana entered into eternal rest on June 26th, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana surrounded by her children.

She was born in French Lick, Indiana on October 18th, 1942 to George Everett and Edith (Lagenour) Self.

Evonda married Benjamin Jack Moore on March 26th, 1972 and he preceded her in death on May 29th, 1996.

She was also preceded in death by her Parents; Daughter – Janice Rose Moore; Brother – Norman Self and Infant Sister – Julia Jane Self.

Evonda attended Southport High School, worked for over 29 years at Kmart in Jasper as a clerk, worked for Touch of Class in Huntingburg and attended Springs Valley Wesleyan Church.

She enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with family.

Evonda is survived by:

Son – Edward Hunter (Sheri) of Indianapolis, Indiana

Daughter – Kristi Brinkman (Jay) of Dubois, Indiana

Grandchildren – Adam Hunter, Trenton (Alli) Hunter, Haley (Zach) Neukam and Macie (Kolbe) Lowe

Great-Grandchildren – Rowyn and Sadie Neukam and Daisy Hunter

Brothers – Danny Self (Rita) of Florida and Nathan Self (Marsha) of Indianapolis, Indiana

Sisters – Georgeann Hunter of Florida, Cindy Stagner (Ray) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Becky Emberson (Allen) of Texas

FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Wininger Cemetery.

VISITATION

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, July 1st, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center, 800 W. 9th Street, Jasper, Indiana 47546.
