Frankie Dean Self

Frankie D. Self, 74, of West Baden Springs, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 28th, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born on September 16th, 1940 in French Lick, Indiana to the late Harold Dean Self and Gertrude (Willoughby) Self.
He married Thelma McFarland on June 19th, 1960 and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and (2) Sisters – Roberta Self and Marie Tolbert.
Frankie was a member of the Beechwood Christian Church where he served as an elder and had previously served as a Board President. He loved woodworking, spending time with his family, fishing and taking walks.
He was a player on the famed 1958 Springs Valley Basketball Team and Graduated with the Springs Valley Class of 1959.
Frankie worked at the Springs Valley Herald and then retired from Texas Eastern Gas Company after working there for 19 years.
He is survived by
Wife Thelma (McFarland) Self West Baden Springs, Indiana
(2) Daughters Michele Self Dallas, Texas
Joni Randle (Donny) Old Hickory, Tennessee
(1) Brother Ben Self (Sue) West Baden Springs, Indiana
(2) Grandchildren Chloe and Jonah Randle Old Hickory, Tennessee
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 31st, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., by Pastor Joan Daniels at the Beechwood Christian Church, 8535 West State Road 56, French Lick, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Patoka Memorial Cemetery, French Lick, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may call Saturday from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Beechwood Christian Church, 8535 West State Road 56, French Lick, Indiana 47432.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Patoka Memorial Cemetery, P.O. Box 350, French Lick, Indiana 47432 or to the Beechwood Christian Church, 8535 West State Road 56, French Lick, Indiana 47432.
