George Harold Foddrill

George Harold Foddrill, age 83, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on August 20th, 2022 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana.

George was born at home in Dubois County, Indiana on October 19th, 1938 to Cecil and Myrtle (Weaver) Foddrill.

He is survived by two children, Don Foddrill of West Baden Springs, Indiana and Debbie Cartwright (Steve) of Laveen, Arizona as well as three grandchildren, Stephanie, Aaron and Jennifer Cartwright of Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by his adopted family, Bill and Gayle Laughlin, the Craig Kinzer family, and the Holland family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, (William, Edward, Melvin and Norman) and 2 sisters, (Delores and Juanita.)

George graduated from French Lick High School in 1956. He worked in various capacities, the longest as a loan officer at the old Orange County Bank. His great love was the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but in his later years was still able to spend time outdoors on his beloved lawn mower, mowing his own large yard as well as doing lawns for others, up until the last few years of his life.

There will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
