Howard Henry Harner, age 87, of French Lick, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2021 at
Memorial Hospital and Healthcare in Jasper, Indiana.
He was born in Martin County, Indiana on July 22nd, 1933 to Roscoe Harner and Clara (Lagenour) Harner.
Howard was preceded in death by his Parents; (2) Brothers – Harold and Ralph Harner;
(1) Sister – Louise Daugherty; and Companion of 17 years – Crystal Cain.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1951- 1955 and had worked at
Kimball International, Jasper Desk and JOFCO.
Howard was an extremely proud US Navy Veteran who fought in the Korean War serving on the USS Juneau and
the USS Wisconsin. He loved delivering fresh produce to his family and friends and was not shy about claiming his
500-bowling series. Howard loved spending time with his grandsons Thomas and Landon, and enjoyed fishing, bowling, watching basketball, CB Radios, socializing with friends while flea marketing, and would never turn down a good buffet.
He was simply a hard-working man who just loved to fish.

Sister-in-Law Betsy Harner Bloomington, Indiana
Companion Dorothy Glover Salem, Indiana
Nephew Kevin Harner (Elizabeth) Swayzee, Indiana
(3) Nieces Shirley Daugherty French Lick, Indiana
Rita Daugherty Celestine, Indiana
Kara Hamm (Doug) Bloomington, Indiana
Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
