James Milton Phillips

James Milton Phillips, age 84, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on January 29th, 2026 at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana.

He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 3rd, 1941 to John H. and Mary Allice (Garver) Phillips.

Jim married Dinah Lee Sanford on May 21st, 1987 and she preceded him in death on April 22nd, 2019.

He was also preceded in death by his Parents and Step-Daughter – Michele Mueller.

Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked for more than 30 years as manager for Irving Game Farm in Greenfield where he retired in 1999. He was a member of Eden Masonic Lodge #477 F&AM.

He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.

Jim is survived by:

Sons – Robert Phillips of Greenfield, Indiana, James P. Phillips of Greenfield, Indiana and Chad Phillips of Shelbyville, Indiana

Brother – George Phillips of Florida

Sister – Jackie Blanton of Tennessee

Step-Daughter – Cassie Ann Zamber of Pass Christian, Mississippi

Several Grandchildren

Cremation was chosen and a private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
