Janice Rose Land

Janice Rose Sanders Land, 82, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on December 23rd, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, Newburgh, Indiana.

She was born in French Lick, Indiana on July 20th, 1939 to Frankie and D. Faye (Kearby) Sanders.

Janice married Everett Land on April 11th, 1959 and he preceded her in death on April 27th, 1999.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Janice was a 1957 graduate of French Lick High School and a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church.

She was a homemaker and loved reading, watching NBA games and playing Skipbo.

Janice is survived by:

(1) Son - Joseph Thomas Land of Jasper, Indiana

(4) Daughters - Yvette (Mike) Kidwell of West Baden Springs, Indiana
Angela (Kevin) Ragains of French Lick, Indiana
Lisa (Jeff) Hackney of West Baden Springs, Indiana
Maria (Shelby) Cox of Jasper, Indiana

(13) Grandchildren - Jason and Tyler Rominger
Devon and Derek Harrell
Janelle Crews
Kyle and Keyly Ragains
Heather Benson, Holly and Taylor Hackney
Toren, Javyer and Mason Land

(8) Great-Grandchildren - Jacie Rominger, Max Whitledge, Wesley Harrell, Adeline Harrell, Carter and Mia Crews,Ruger and Emerson Benson

(1) Brother-in-law Roy (Ute) Land of French Lick, Indiana

(2) Sisters-in-law - Frances (Donnie) Hicks of French Lick, Indiana

Special Cousins Mary Frances Coulter, who was like a sister and Jerry Sanders.

A Funeral Mass will be conducted by Father Randy Summers on Saturday, January 1st, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.

Visitation for friends will be on Saturday, January 1st, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the charitable organization of your choice.

Due to the Coronavirus, we ask that all guests wear masks and practice social distancing (6 feet or more). Thank you for your cooperation.
