Jo Anne Renner, 96 of Bloomington, Indiana formerly of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on September 1st, 2025 at TMC Hospice Peppi’s House in Tucson, Arizonia.
She was born in French Lick, Indiana on September 14th, 1928 to John Amos and Glenn Ava (Dean) Stackhouse.
Jo Anne married John Renner, Jr. and he preceded her in death on January 28th, 2020.
She was also preceded in death by her Parents and Sister – Deanna Sue (Stackhouse) Clark.
Jo Anne was a 1944 graduate of French Lick High School, 1947 graduate of Indiana University in Home Economics and received her Master’s Degree in Child Development from Indiana University. She worked for Salem High School, French Lick Schools and Springs Valley Community Schools, where she taught home economics, operated the cafeteria, vocational education, senior class sponsor, oversaw the 1st student run Audio Visual Department and at that time she was the only mother/daughter teaching the same subject together. Jo Anne worked side by side with her husband for over 29 years at United, Inc.
She was a member of Springs Valley UMC, Eastern Star and Tri Kappa.
Jo Anne was a woman of many passions and talents. She found great joy in sewing, fishing, traveling, gardening and flying, and had a lifelong love for collecting and reading books - especially cookbooks, which she treasured. Above all, Jo Anne’s greatest passion was spending time with her family. Her great-grandsons were one of the main focuses of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her warmth, curiosity, and vibrant spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Son – Don Renner (Barbara) of Bloomington, Indiana
Grandsons – Brad Renner (Jenni) of Bloomington, Indiana
John Renner (Haley) of Parker, Colorado
Great-Grandsons – Austin, Connor and Luke Renner
FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Rev. Doug Finney on Thursday, September 11th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery.
VISITATION
Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, September 11th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ames Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Connie Kerby, 2225 N. County Road 575 W., West Baden Springs, Indiana 47469.
