John David Howell

John David Howell, age 81, of French Lick, Indiana, formerly of Shoals, Indiana entered into eternal rest on September 24th, 2026 at Springs Valley Meadows.

He was born in Shoals, Indiana on February 9th, 1945 to Edmund and Catherine (McBride) Howell.

John married Beverly Gregory on August 27th, 1966 and she preceded him in death on January 2nd, 2020.

He was also preceded in death by his Parents; Sister – Jeraldine Nelson; Brothers – Robert, Larry, and Kevin Howell; and Foster Son – Kirk Sanders.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. He was self-employed as a general contractor.

He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.

John is survived by:

Daughter – Michelle Galloway (Brooks)

Grandchildren – Ryan and Morgan Burkhardt

Great-Grandchildren – Sawyer and Sidney Smoot, and Sutton Goodman

Cremation was chosen and burial will be held at a later date at Spring Hill Cemetery, Shoals, Indiana.
