Joyce E. Jones

Joyce E. Jones, 76, of Shoals, Indiana entered into eternal rest on December 29th, 2020 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper, Indiana.

She was born in Orange County, Indiana on February 28th, 1944 to William Bill Chastain and Jesse Pearl (Gillum) Chastain.

Joyce married Darrell Roscoe Jones on March 10th, 1961 and he preceded her in death on October 14th, 2000.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; (2) Brothers – Duane Chastain and Benny Chastain; (1) Sister – Marie E. Chastain Doan-Elliott; and (1) Granddaughter – Sarah Jones.

Joyce attended Springs Valley High School and is a member of The Church at Powell Valley.

She had worked at Paoli Shoe Factory and Kimball Electronics in French Lick.

Joyce enjoyed watching birds and squirrels, listening to wind chimes, reading and going to church.

She is survived by:
(2) Sons Darrell W. Jones (Dianna) West Baden Springs, Indiana
Claude Jones (Kimberly) Dubois, Indiana

(1) Daughter Kathy Adams (Jon) Paoli, Indiana

(1) Brother Clyde Chastain Paoli, Indiana

Several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren

FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Randy Stevens at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31st, 2020 at The Church at Powell Valley with burial to follow at Anderson Cemetery in Powell Valley.

VISITATION
Friends may call on Thursday, December 31st, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at The Church at Powell Valley.

We ask that all who attend please comply to social distancing guidelines and wear a face covering while paying your respects during the visitation and funeral service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Anderson Cemetery, c/o Greg Benge, 5239 Emmons Lane, Shoals, IN 47581.
