Karen Darlene Fouche

Karen “Darlene” Fouche, 74, of Ferdinand, Indiana, formerly of French Lick, entered into eternal rest on 
March 8th, 2024 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare, Jasper, Indiana, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born in Paoli, Indiana on October 14th, 1949 to Lloyd Carrol and Ruthie Mae (Brown) Wininger.

Darlene was preceded in death by her Parents; Brother – Carroll “Buddy” Wininger and Brothers-in-Law –
Jim Orr and Steve Nicholson.

Darlene was married to James Fouche for 20 years with whom she shared one daughter, Courtney, and many adventures.

She was a 1967 graduate of Springs Valley High School, earned a B.S degree in Home Economics from IU Bloomington in 1971, and received a Masters Degree in Counseling in 1984 from IU.

Darlene grew up attending Ames Chapel Church, a place that was always special to her, attended Hillham Church of Christ in Christian Union, and was a former member of French Lick Tri Kappa.

She enjoyed working in her flower garden, crafting, loved to cook, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Darlene is survived by:

Daughter – Courtney Kitchell (Charles) of New Albany, Indiana

Sisters – Ramona Orr of West Baden Springs. Indiana
                Jenny Woolsey (Ron) of French Lick, Indiana
                Diane Nicholson of Huntingburg, Indiana

Grandchildren – Carter, Selah, and Aaron

Her many Nieces and Nephews were also very special to her.


FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Ames Chapel Church with burial to follow in Ames Chapel Cemetery.

VISITATION
Visitation will be on Monday, March 11th, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home and on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Ames Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Connie Kerby,
