Louis Joseph Patterson

September 19, 1942 — April 27, 2021

Louis Joseph Patterson, 78, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on April 27th, 2021 at his residence.

He was born in Huntingburg, Indiana on September 19th, 1942 to Tim Patterson and Bernadine (Nordhoff) Patterson.

Louis married Clarissa Merkel on June 28th, 1969 and she survives.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; (1) Sister – Rosemarie Schnarr; and (2) Brothers – Robert and Michael Patterson.

Louis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, was member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church and Newton Stewart Masonic Lodge #432 where he was a Past Master.

He had been employed at Naval Avionics in Indianapolis, Indiana and then transferred to NSWC Crane where he was an electronic technician from 1971 to 1999.  Louis was very proud to be a part of the 25mm gun system project while working there. Following his retirement from Crane, he was a real estate broker.

Louis was always there for his family no matter what. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics, construction projects with his children and raising cattle with his family since 1971.

He is survived by:

FUNERAL MASS
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father Jegan Peter on Monday, May 3rd, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at 
Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church, French Lick, Indiana with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery.


VISITATION 
Visitation for friends and family will be Sunday, May 2nd, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, French Lick, Indiana. A masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. conducted by Newton Stewart Lodge #432.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
