Mary Jane Ash Wigand

Mary Jane Grosvenor Ash Wigand, age 96, of Jasper, Indiana, formerly of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on December 26th, 2020 at Northwood Good Samaritan in Jasper, Indiana of cancer.

She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 30th, 1924 to Ira and Laura “Noble” Grosvenor.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; Husband – Oscar Wigand; (2) Sons – Donald Ash and Paul Ash; (1) Sister- Laura “Lolly” Grosvenor.

She was a Jehovah Witness.

Jane enjoyed visits with her son Chris, reading, genealogy, farming, flowers and birds, and strong coffee.

She is survived by:

Robert (Catie) Ash Elma, Washington

(2) Daughter-in-laws Miriam Ash Ferdinand, Indiana
Kathy Ash Ohio

(5) Grandchildren Ira Morgan Ash; Laura Ash; Autumn Ash; Jeanine Ash; and Danielle Ash Zimmerman.

(1) Great-Granddaughter Eleanor Zimmerman

Several Step-grandchildren also survive.

Jane was loved and will be missed by many, especially her caretakers – Daughter-in-law Miriam Ash and 
Step-Granddaughter Carla Striegel-Winner.

Cremation was chosen and a Graveside Ceremony will be held Friday, January 8th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Ames Chapel Cemetery, Paoli, Indiana.
