Mary S. Wheat

Mary S. Wheat, 86, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on February 10th, 2023 at Mitchell Manor in Mitchell, Indiana.

She was born in French Lick, Indiana on April 2nd, 1936 to Claude and Ruth Evelyn (Knight) Phillips.

Mary married William Wheat on October 13th, 1957 and he preceded her in death on May 13th, 1994.

She was also preceded in death by her Parents; (2) Brothers and (2) Sisters.

Mary attended Highland Chapel Church and had worked at the French Lick Springs Hotel.

She enjoyed going to church, playing bingo, listening to music and singing, and she loved Elvis.  Mary was a social butterfly and enjoyed being with her family.

Mary is survived by:

(1) Daughter – Judy Wheat of Mitchell, Indiana

(1) Brother – Donnie E. Phillips of French Lick, Indiana

(7) Sisters – Reta Smith of French Lick, Indiana
                     Molly Reese of French Lick, Indiana
                     Linda Kay Huff of French Lick, Indiana
                     Sandy Alspaugh of French Lick, Indiana
                     Pam Flick of French Lick, Indiana
                     Judy Beck of French Lick, Indiana
                     Betty Jean Phillips of French Lick, Indiana            

(7) Grandchildren – Sarah Busick; Jennifer Porter; Venus, Miranda, Tony, Marcus Lambert; and Jeffery Nettles

GRAVESIDE CEREMONY
A Graveside Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Sulphur Creek Cemetery, 
French Lick, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
