Michael S. Livingston

Michael S. Livingston, 59, of English, Indiana, entered into eternal rest May 28th, 2026 at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper, Indiana.

He was born in Bloomington, Indiana on February 28th, 1967 to Fredrick and Linda Diane (Carnes) Livingston.

Michael married Christie D. Evans on December 11th, 2016 and she survives.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents – Fred and Dorothy Livingston and maternal grandparents – Harold and Dorothy Carnes.

Michael was a 1985 graduate of Springs Valley High School, Pipe Trades apprentice program, and a member of Wickliffe United Methodist Church.

Michael was a lifelong employee for Harrell-Fish, Inc. from 1988 until his retirement as Field Operations Manager in October of 2022. He was a member of Local 136 Plumbers & Pipefitters in Evansville, Indiana.

Michael’s greatest joy in life was the people he loved. He was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose love for his family ran deep. Whether spending time with his family or friends or sharing giggles with grandchildren, Michael made the people around him feel valued and loved.

He found peace and happiness outdoors, especially near water. He loved fishing, waterfowl hunting with his dad, sons and friends, mushroom hunting with his wife and dad, and traveling to discover new places and experiences. Rivers, lakes and the ocean brought him a special kind of joy and he was happiest when surrounded by nature and the people he loved most.

Michael brought patience and care into every part of his life, including his construction career at HFI. He was known for his strong work ethic, his passion for the people he worked with, and the lasting mark he left on every job he touched. He took great pride in the projects he helped build across Southern Indiana, knowing they would serve communities for years to come. His legacy lived on not only in those structures, but also in the respect and memories shared by those who worked alongside him.

Although Michael faced ALS with tremendous courage, he never allowed the disease to define who he was. Even through the pain and difficult days, he remained a light to others – carrying his strength with quiet grace, a warm smile, and a sense of humor that continued to shine through. His resilience, kindness, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered far more than the illness he endured.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, strength, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in all who knew him.

He is survived by:

Parents – Fred and Linda Livingston

Sons – Kyle Livingston (Jamie) and Dillon Livingston (Kayla)

Daughter – Sydney Livingston

Stepdaughters – Kaitlyn Holland (Garrett), Shelby Brown and Jacie Brown

Sister – Michelle Sternberg (Brent)

A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Monday, June 1st, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, French Lick, Indiana. Burial will follow at Patoka Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 31st, 2026 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Monday, June 1st, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
