Michael C. Nelson, 68 years young, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on May 24th, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.
He was born on October 4th, 1947 in Paoli, Indiana to Eugene and Juanita (Jones) Nelson.
He married Vivian Stackhouse on December 18th, 1965.
Michael was preceded in death by his father – Eugene Nelson and (1) Nephew – Brandon Albright.
He was a member of the Highland Chapel Church in West Baden Springs, Indiana and a lifetime member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Indiana/Kentucky BAC Local 4. He attended the Springs Valley High School.
Michael enjoyed fishing and coon hunting for many years with family and friends. With his bricklaying talent, he was always there to lend a helping hand when someone needed any type of masonry work. Upon his retirement, he took up woodworking as a hobby crafting many pieces for family and friends.

Vonda Albright (Wesley) Shoals, Indiana
Camellia Albright (Dwayne) West Baden Springs, Indiana
(5) Grandchildren Jordan Parsons (Heather), Lauren Emmons (Nick), Kennedy Nelson, Karington Lawson and Ty Lawson
(2) Great-Grandchildren Pryce Emmons and Paislee Parsons
He also leaves behind several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law along with several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29th, 2016 at the Brosmer-Kemple Chapel in French Lick, Indiana. Burial will follow in the Highland Chapel Cemetery.
VISITATION
Friends may call Sunday, May 29th, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Brosmer-Kemple Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Highland Chapel Cemetery Fund.
Arrangements are in the care of Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Homes, 9640 W. State Road 56, French Lick, Indiana 47432.
