To the beloved family of Mike Owen.

Mike and I both grew up out in the country, about where Patoka Lake is now at,
in Jackson Township, Orange County.

Both myself and Mike were survivors of Rheumatic fever as boys.  I had it
and recovered from it, and my mother father and I went to see Mike at his parents
farm house, Harold and Jessie Owen's place.  He was just getting over the worst of it,
but he, like I finally recovered from it also.

Mike and I visited for an hour or so, about 4 years ago, at French Lick.

I knew Mike to be a Freemason and a real fine fellow.

I want to offer my sincere condolences to the family of Mike for their loss at this time
of sorrow.

I believe Mike's spiritual life shall dwell in the House of the Lord now.

Sincerely,

Dennis R. Drake and Family

To Mike's Family..so very sorry to hear of Mike's passing.  He was a friend to everyone he knew.  I never saw him unless he had a big smile on his face and kind words to say.  I first met Mike while working at Paoli, Inc.  Mike was always willing to help in anyway possible.  He will be greatly missed.

I was so saddened to see this in the paper last night. I loved working with Mike when he was driving for Paoli, LLC. I was his dispatcher for a while and was there when he retired. He was such a funny, smart and loving man. He often talked to me about his kids when he would come in or call about a load. I often thought of Mike and have seen him out a couple of times since his retirement. Getting to know Mike was a blessing.

Dear Owen family,
I am so sorry for your loss. From the first time I met him to the last time I saw him, Mike always treated me like a son. I see, hear, and enjoy him in so many memories I treasure. I am grateful to have known him and am thankful I will never forget him. I will remember his laughter and will forever benefit from things he taught me. Thank you for sharing a small part of him with me.
