Paul Lester "Bud" Allen

Paul Lester “Bud” Allen, age 91, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on August 13th, 2026.

He was born in a log cabin in Northwest Township on July 24th, 1935 to Paul M. and Selma C. (Catt) Allen.

Bud was preceded in death by his Parents.

He was a 1954 graduate of West Baden High School and retired after 27 years from Ozark Airlines as a lead agent.

Bud didn’t really care for retirement so he continued working as a truck driver, at the French Lick Municipal Airport, and was a trolley driver for the French Lick Resort.

Bud was a member of Beechwood Christian Church and French Lick Senior Citizens.

He enjoyed mowing, dancing, carpentry, doing all types of handyman jobs and volunteering at the Springs Valley Food Pantry. Bud and Patty loved to travel in their camper and visited every state except Alaska.

Bud is survived by:

Wife – Patty Allen

Sons – Glen Martin Allen and Bradley Paul Allen (Erica)

Daughter – Phyllis Rae Strodtman (Tim)

Sister – Maxine Wininger

Grandchildren – Jack, Zane, and Ava Allen, Braden Collier, Lakota Robbins, Amber Hornburger, and Stephanie Strodtman.

Great-Grandchildren – Reed, Bryce, Drew, Trey, and Vivian

FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Thomas Horrocks on Wednesday, August 19th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home with burial to follow in Ames Chapel Cemetery.

VISITATION

Visitation for friends and family will be Wednesday, August 19th, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
