Pauline Rominger

Pauline Rominger, 86 years young, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on February 2nd, 2016 at IU Health Paoli Hospital in Paoli, Indiana.

She was born in Orange County, Indiana on September 30th, 1929 to Ernest and Lottie (Stackhouse) Hallaway.

Pauline married Harry W. “Junior” Rominger on March 6th, 1948 and he preceded her in death on May 4th, 2009.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, (2) Brothers – James Hallaway and Clifford Hallaway; and (3) Sisters – Ruth Dixon, Fern Burton and Marilyn Jones.

Pauline enjoyed flowers, gardening and antiques.

She had previously been employed at the Upholstery Shop, Allbright’s Grocery Store and Hoffman’s in Orleans. She also worked on the family farm and was a homemaker.

Pauline is survived by:

(1) Son Gary W. Rominger (Rose) French Lick, Indiana

(2) Brothers Rex Hallaway French Lick, Indiana
Dale Hallaway Pennsylvania

(1) Sister Carol Drake Mitchell, Indiana

(2) Grandchildren Christi Kinser (Andy) Orleans, Indiana
Michael Rominger French Lick, Indiana

(1)Great-Grandchild Makayla Chase Kinser

The Funeral Ceremony will be conducted at the T.L. Pinnick Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6th, 2016 by Pastor John Moffatt. Burial will follow at the Ames Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday, February 5th, 2016 at the T.L. Pinnick Chapel from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.

So glad that I got to see Aunt Pauline just a few days ago.  Always loved Mom having such a big family and visiting Pauline and Jr. when they lived on their farm.  Many great memories.  Will really miss her.  Sending lots of love and prayers to all of the family.

So sorry to hear of Pauline's passing.  Lots of fond memories of her and of visiting their place along with many stories told around the kitchen table.
So glad we were able to visit her last November.
