Preston Andrew Wininger

Preston A. Wininger, age 74, of French Lick, Indiana passed away September 15th, 2012  at IU Health Paoli Hospital in Paoli, Indiana.

He was born on December 14th, 1937 in French Lick, Indiana to Hollis Wininger and Grace Gottfried Wininger.

He married Madelean “Mabel” Locklear on July 2nd, 1960 and she survives.

He graduated from Birdseye High School and after high school he joined the United States Army.

Preston was a member of the Newton Stewart Lodge #432 F&AM and the American Legion Post 76 in French Lick, Indiana.

He enjoyed classic cars, loved playing Bluegrass music, and spending time with his beloved dog Jake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, (1) Brother - Laverne Wininger, (3) Sisters - Viola Grooms, Patsy Nelson, and Helen Davis, and (1) Grandson -  Jacob Rogers

He  is survived by:

Funeral services will be Thursday, September  20th, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home French Lick, Indiana. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00pm and from 9:00 am until the time of service on Thursday at the Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.

Pastor John Moffatt will officiate.  

Burial will follow at the Mount Lebanon Cemetery in French Lick, Indiana. Military graveside rites will be performed by the French Lick American Legion Post 76.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Newton Stewart Lodge #432 F&AM.
