Thelma Mae Brown

Thelma Mae Brown, age 81, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on August 1st, 2023 at her residence.

She was born in Charlestown, Indiana on August 22nd, 1941 to John Edward and Myrtle Rose (Dickens) Meehan.

Thelma married Robert L. Brown on September 28th, 1963 and he survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; (5) - Brothers Carl Meehan, John Meehan, David Meehan, Thomas Meehan, and infant Louis Meehan; (6) - Sisters; Lorene Hillis, Leona Brewer, Pauline White, Vera Blevins, Alma Abel, and infant Wilma Meehan.

Thelma was a member of Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church. She was a 1959 graduate of Springs Valley High School and Indiana University. She was a teacher at Shoals Elementary and Springs Valley Elementary Schools where she taught Special Education. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by:

Husband - Robert L. Brown of West Baden Springs, Indiana

(3) Sons - Scott Brown (Susan) of Marshville, North Carolina
       Jeff Brown (Angie) of Lafayette, Indiana
       Ed Brown of French Lick, Indiana

(1) Brother - Paul Meehan of French Lick, Indiana

(9) Grandchildren - Katie Holland, Shelby Brown, Jacie Brown, Derrick Brown, Morgan Brown, Peter Brown, Ben Brown, Seth Jenkins, Josh Jenkins.

(2) Great-grandchildren - Remi Holland and Natalie Holland.

FUNERAL MASS
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father Randy Summers on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in French Lick, Indiana, with burial to follow at Moore’s Ridge Cemetery.

VISITATION
Visitation will be on Friday, August 4th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Moore’s Ridge Cemetery, c/o Charlie Crecelius, 3109 S. County Road 500 W., French Lick, Indiana 47432.
