Virginia C. Emmons

Virginia C. Emmons, 72 years young, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on July 27th, 2016 at IU Bloomington Hospital, Bloomington, Indiana.

She was born in Orange County, Indiana on June 20th, 1944 to Robert Hatfield and Olive M. (Brewer) Hatfield.

Virginia married Bert Emmons, Jr. and he preceded her in death on May 7th, 2001.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, (2) Sisters - Bobby Hatfield and Patsy Hatfield and (1) Brother – Ben Hatfield.

She was a member of The Church at Powell Valley and a 1962 graduate of Springs Valley High School.
Virginia loved spending time with her granddaughters and great-grandchildren and working in her flower garden.

Virginia is survived by:

(1) Son Robert Emmons French Lick, Indiana

(2) Granddaughters Elisha (Nick) Dewig Washington, Indiana
Tricia Emmons Linton, Indiana

(2) Great-grandchildren Emma and Henry Dewig Washington, Indiana

(1) Sister Brenda Curtis Bloomington, Indiana



FUNERAL CEREMONY
A Funeral Ceremony will be held Monday, August 1st, 2016 at 12:00 (noon) at The Church at Powell Valley, Shoals, Indiana with Bro. Randy Stevens officiating.  Burial will follow at Emmons Ridge Cemetery.

VISITATION
Friends may call on Monday, August 1st, 2016 at The Church at Powell Valley from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
