Alpha Jane Icenogle

September 7, 1920 — February 6, 2021

Alpha Jane “Flannery” Icenogle, age 100, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on February 6th, 2021 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana.

She was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on September 7th, 1920 to Dow Flannery and Barbara “Edwards” Flannery and was raised by her aunt and uncle.

Alpha married Wilbur R. Icenogle on February 14th, 1938 and he preceded her death on August 11th, 1982.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; (2) Sons – David and Byron Icenogle; (1) Son-in-Law – Charles Marshall; (7) Brothers; and (6) Sisters.

Alpha was a member of Red Quarry Christian Church and had more than 147 descendants.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, gardening and canning.

FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor David Mullins, grandson-in-law, at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 at Paoli Christian Church in Paoli, Indiana with burial to follow at Ames Chapel Cemetery, Paoli, Indiana.

VISITATION

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 9th, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Paoli Christian Church in Paoli, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers the family requests for donations to be made to the Ames Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o Ryan Barwe,

6487 W. County Rd 175S, French Lick, IN 47432.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, guests are required to wear masks and practice social distancing (6 feet or more).  If you are showing symptoms of illness (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congesting or runny nose, nausea or vomiting or diarrhea)

Please do not attend.  Thank you for your cooperation during this difficult time.
