Betty J Stanfield

Betty J. Stanfield, age 93, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest on February 25th, 2019 at Springs Valley Meadows, French Lick, Indiana.

She was born in French Lick, Indiana on May 29th, 1925 to Raymond Kellams and Effie “McKeighen” Kellams.

Betty married Marvin “Plug” Stanfield on January 15th, 1949 and he preceded her in death on October 20th, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents and (5) Sisters – Ethel Qualkenbush, Sadie Kinsey, Kathleen Wells,

Margaret Sugarman and Magaleen Archer.

Betty was a 1943 graduate of French Lick High School, a member of Moores Ridge United Methodist Church and the French Lick American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.

She had worked many years at the French Lick Sheraton and French Lick Springs Hotel as a cashier.

Betty loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by:

(1) Son                                     Mark Stanfield (Jean)                         French Lick, Indiana

(1) Daughter                           Susie Kendall (Bill)                              French Lick, Indiana

(4) Grandchildren – Devin Kendall, Michael Kendall, Tia Wehr and Mica Day.

(5) Great-Grandchildren – Trai, Ethan, Logan and Brayden Kendall and Baby Wehr.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be conducted by Bro. Joe Crow on Friday, March 1st, 2019 at 12 noon at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home in French Lick, Indiana.  Burial will be at a later date at Moores Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation

Friends may call on Thursday, February 28th, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Betty can be made to Moores Ridge Cemetery, c/o Charles Crecelius, 3109 S. County Road 500W, French Lick, IN 47432.
