Cephas Dewayne “Pete” Conrad, age 77, of French Lick, Indiana, entered into eternal rest, April 16th, 2020 at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, Louisville, Kentucky.

He was born in Dubois County, Indiana on July 26th, 1942 to Cephas Doyle Conrad and Ruby C. (Phillips) Conrad.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a 1960 graduate of Springs Valley High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic.  He had worked as a planner and estimator at NWSC Crane where he retired.

Pete was a member of the Hillham Church of Christ in Christian Union, French Lick American Legion Post 76 and French Lick Masonic Lodge #586 F&AM.

He loved spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and being at his second home in Florida.

Pete is survived by:

(1) Son Robert Heeke (Cheryl) Pensacola, Florida

(3) Daughters Regina Uhland (Gregory) Defuniak Springs, Florida
Janet Conrad Miguel (Sean) New Salisbury, Indiana
Michelle Conrad (Jennifer) Pensacola, Florida

(2) Sisters Judy Crews West Baden Springs, Indiana
Debbie Goodman (Harold “Gene”) Bedford, Indiana

(9) Grandchildren (6) Great-Grandchildren  

GRAVESIDE CEREMONY 
Due to the executive order by Governor Eric Holcomb regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, a Private Graveside Ceremony will be held at Cuzco Community Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be announced at a later date.
