Mary Jane Collins

Mary Jane “Janie” Collins, 76, of French Lick, Indiana entered into eternal rest on October 16th, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital, New Albany, Indiana.

She was born in Martin County, Indiana on May 9th, 1944 to Orville E. Catt and Sarah E. (Harner) Catt.

Janie married Jerry R. Collins on June 29th, 1963 and he preceded her in death on February 27th, 2011.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; (1) Sister – Alma Jean Apple and (2) Brothers – Kenny Standford and John Stanley Catt.

Janie was a 1962 graduate of Shoals High School and attended Springs Valley Wesleyan Church.

She had worked at Essex in Orleans, Kimball International, the family sawmill, and had babysit for several people and cleaned houses.

Janie enjoyed working crossword puzzles and doing needlepoint.

She is survived by:

GRAVESIDE FUNERAL CEREMONY

A Graveside Funeral Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Moffatt at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20th, 2020 at Mount Lebanon Cemetery with burial to follow.

VISITATION

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 20th, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home, French Lick, Indiana.

We ask that all who attend please comply to social distancing guidelines and wear a face covering while paying your respects during the visitation and graveside service.
