Shirley Marie Roach

August 12, 1938 — April 8, 2021


Shirley Marie Roach, 82, of West Baden Springs, Indiana entered into eternal rest on April 8th, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.


She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on August 12th, 1938 to Albert Homer McAfee and America Ellen (Sewell) McAfee.


Shirley married James Lee Roach on November 14th, 1959 and he survives.


She was preceded in death by her parents; (2) Brothers- Willard Ray and Leonard McAfee; (1) Sister – Maggie Elizabeth Easter, (1) Great-Granddaughter – Hannah Elizabeth Roach and Son-in-law – Dave Atchison.
 
Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Corydon High School and was a homemaker.


She enjoyed travelling, fishing and mushroom hunting, but her greatest joy was helping raise her grandchildren and 
great-grandchildren.


Shirley is survived by:

                               Adrian McAfee of Ione, Washington


(3) Sisters              Alberta McAfee of Kirkland, Arizona
                              Billie Joe Kumm of Cookeville, Tennessee
                              Ina Collins of Indianapolis, Indiana


(3) Grandchildren – Ronald Roach, Tiffany Morris and Hallie Roach


(6) Great-Grandchildren – Derek, Lindsay, Leah, and Daniel Roach; Wyatt Morris; and Raylen Alvey.

GRAVESIDE CEREMONY
A Graveside Ceremony will be conducted by Pastor Randy Stevens on Monday, April 12th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at
Paoli Community Cemetery, Paoli, Indiana.
